Cassidy Amberg is a deeply motivated and dazzling actor, singer, and dancer from the beaches of Los Angeles, California. Born into a home filled with the music of Joni Mitchell and Ella Fitzgerald, Cassidy’s passion for folk and jazz music has led her through life from a very young age. Cassidy is enamored by the opportunity that musical theatre gives her to explore all of the musical genres that she loves.

While in UCLA’s Ray Bolger Musical Theatre Program, Cassidy performed in several department productions as well as student-run productions. Her claim to fame in college was performing in Rocky Horror three halloweens in a row, playing a different role every time! Cassidy was also a part in developing two new musicals, in workshops directed by Dan Belzer and Jeremy Mann. She is passionate about bringing new works to life, as well as revisiting iconic shows through a new lens.

In addition to several theatre company internships across Southern California, Cassidy served as Marketing Director of Act III Theatre Ensemble for two years, advocating for their mission of creating accessible queer theater. As a queer artist herself, she is incredibly dedicated to promoting and participating in queer works throughout her career. Cassidy is thrilled to be stepping into the professional world, and she will be based in NYC after graduation in Summer 2024 and looks forward to experiencing all four seasons.

Outside of theatre, Cassidy loves practicing yoga, whipping up delicious recipes in the kitchen, and driving her 1987 Volvo wagon named Bennie.
